Spring fashion inspires the WFE team!

They're here!  Spring colors are finally gracing the runways, leaving the WFE team overflowing with ideas for your event.  Fashion lovers at heart, our team draws inspiration from some of our favorite designers and their sometimes unexpected color pallet choices.  Pantone, the it team of color trend predictors, has released this years Spring tones. You might be surprised to see that dark isn't necessarily going away this season.

Celebration
Spring personified in a palette, the colors that make up this years Spring color trend are mostly named after flowers: iris, viola, daffodil, poppy, and geranium. Should this color scheme tickle your fancy do not hesitate to incorporate into your Spring wardrobe; your fave designers sure won't.


Abstraction
I must confess that this color pallet isn't my favorite; gasp yes something less than positive from a WFE team member? Okay lets put a positive spin on this: The WFE team knows diversity of opinion is what makes each event so unique and saves us from the monotony that results in Pleasantville. In short, take a look for yourself and do not let this WFE team members humble opinion sway you any which way.


New Classic
According to Lenzing, new and unexpected twists on classic elements and naturally bright pigments will develop into new classics. "Fabrics are classic, materials the same but all elements are somewhat twisted: fibers in unusual yarn-spinning and -counts, classical weave patterns in atypical materials clashed with a curious checkered design, an embroidery where you didn't expect it - nothing loud, just enough to make you startle."


Aqueous
At WFE our favorite Spring / Summer color trend 'aqueous' is also the most dangerous, but hey we like living on the edge. An obvious color theme for Spring because of its nautical tones,. To avoid such misapplication we use it with "floating" pieces where the fabric is the focus. An interpretation of the sheer trend seems a strong contender if you intend to work this color theme through your wardrobe as well as your event.

Photo Booth Fun!

Having a photo booth at your event adds a fun activity for guests, provides a great keepsake for them, and comes with the added benefit of providing you with ample material for a wedding or event video or photo montage. PB's are a WFE must for giving corporate events and birthday parties that little extra "oomph". Combine that extra oomph with the stunning effect of your always fabulous little black dress and your event just became the most talked about party of the season.

Bye Bye hor d'oeuvres hello mini meals!

The White Frame Events team loves the idea of serving mini meals to guests at cocktail events instead of appetizers.  It cuts out the hassle of providing a huge variety and helps guests fill up fast.  Just remember that unless your venue provides seating for all guests at once your mini meals should be easily consumed standing up.  Try using a Chinese food box like the one Elegant Affairs, a New York based company, used at a recent cocktail party.

The state that gave us Sex in the City is giving the White Frames team one more thing to rave about... paper lanterns.  Event planners in New York have been embracing the use of paper lanterns to spice up any event.  The White Frame Events team loves how the simple use of lanterns easily transition an event into a fusion experience.

Its all about the Candy!

The White Frame Events team has a real sweet tooth!  Its lucky for us that we can use this sweet tooth to add flare to any event!  Try adding a candy bar to add color in a tasty way.
